We know that the benefits of an adopting an inclusive approach and increasing diversity in the workforce are numerous. It increases and improves the talent pool, brings different thinking to the table, ensuring the widest range of ideas are explored and makes the sector more representative of its customers and communities.

The sector is already aware of the significant skills shortage of competent professionals across the wider industry. The lack of diversity in both housing and construction is compounding the issue and as such, this session will explore:

  • the importance and benefits of diversity and inclusion in housing
  • how we can make both the housing and construction sector more inclusive and diverse
  • how we can support diversity and including in recruitment practices.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Mushtaq Khan, Chief Executive of Housing Diversity Network
  • Hony Premlal, Chair for Eldon Housing Association and Chair at WISH (Women in Social Housing) London

This will be an in-person meeting held at the Building Centre, 26 Store Street, London WC1E 7BT. Breakfast will be available from 9.30am and the meeting will commence at 10am. The meeting will conclude at 1pm and a standing hot lunch will be available until 2pm.
