Disrepair Improvement Group – 11.03.25

The virtual meeting of Disrepair Improvement Group will be taking place on Tuesday 11 March 2025 and will be framed around disrepair through the seasons.

Disrepair isn’t just a winter problem. As the seasons change, so do the challenges that properties face. Join us for an insightful session focused on preventative maintenance and proactive solutions to keep homes in top condition year-round.

The session will be led by Geoff Hunt, Chartered Building Surveyor and Key Discussion Topics will include:

• The importance of ventilation to reduce moisture build-up
• Actions to prevent an increase in pest activity
• Roof checks to prepare for spring showers and summer storms
• Identifying and managing overgrown trees and outdoor hazards
• Inspecting exterior surfaces, including renders, sidings, windows, and doors for seasonal wear and tear
